Property fire

Crews from Taunton and Wellington are currently on scene at a domestic property fire on Wellington Road in Rumwell near Taunton. All persons are out of the property and crews are currently using two hose reel jets, one thermal imaging camera, one covering jet and small tools to extinguish the fire. Update to follow.

Final Details - This incident is now complete and was brought under control at 18:11hrs. Crews made good and steady progress bringing the fire, which started accidentally in a utility room and spread to the conservatory of the 2 storey house, under control using 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets, a safety jet and small tools, before using a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the ground floor of smoke. A thermal imaging camera was also used to check for hotspots as crews made the utilities and scene safe. These 2 rooms suffered 100% fire damage, with the remainder of the ground floor sustaining 30% smoke damage. 2 occupants were able to safely evacuate prior to our arrival and there were no casualties.
