Outdoor fire
Fire control received a call to report a hay rick on fire at the given location.
Control immediately mobilised 2 fire engines and a bowser to attend in order to deal with the fire.
On arrival the incident commander confirmed a large fire and immediately requested a further 4 fire engines to attend.
This is a large fire involving 500 tonnes of hay, within close proximity to this is a further 2 barns. 1 barn containing cattle, the other barn containing 300 tonnes of ammonium nitrate fertiliser, 300 tonnes of hay and 300 tonnes of grain. Also in close proximity to this barn is a diesel tank containing 10000L of diesel.
Crews are still tackling the fire, and making good progress.

Update 0530 - All fire crews have left the scene now and the incident has been left with the farmer. One crew will re-attend in the morning to make sure it is still under control. The cause of the fire has been established as accidental.
Crews used the following equipment:
- Hose reel jets
- Light Portable pumps
- Safety jets
