Road traffic collision

Crews from Barnstaple and South Molton attended a road traffic collision on the A399 near North Molton where a large goods vehicle had left the roadway and was on its side in a field. Crews extricated the driver from the lorry and made the scene safe using a reciprocating saw, ladders, one hose reel jet, one dry powder extinguisher, and environmental protection. Fire personnel provided casualty care to the driver before handing over to Ambulance personnel. The incident was handed over to the Police prior to recovery.
