Property fire

Fire appliances from Ilminster, Crewkerne and Somerton were mobilised to a report of a fire inside a property on Owl Street, East Lambrook, South Petherton. (Crewkerne standing by at Yeovil Station due to Yeovil attending another incident). 

On arrival fire crews confirmed smoke and flames issuing from a single storey detached bungalow measuring approximately 5m x 12m of brick and tile construction which was unoccupied and disused.  Fire crews used two hose reel jets, one 45mm jet, and one 75mm jet to extinguish the fire, and a thermal image camera to check for hotspots.
