Property fire

Two fire engines from Torquay and one fire engine from Teignmouth were mobilised to an address in the St Marychurch area of Torquay this morning, following a report of a kitchen fire. 

Upon the fire crews attendance, they confirmed a small fire in the kitchen on the ground floor. The fire involved an electrical iron and food items left on the hob. 

Fire crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, one safety jet, one thermal imaging camera and a positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the fire.
