Road traffic collision

Fire control received calls to a road traffic collision with one person reported inside the vehicle in Okehampton.

2 Fire engines from Okehampton and Chagford were mobilised. 

Control mobilised the heavy rescue tender from Middlemoor Fire Station because the vehicle had gone off the road and entered a ditch.  

When arriving on scene, crews rendered first aid and administered oxygen.

Crews extricated 1 female from the vehicle using small tools.

The casualty was then taken to hospital by Ambulance.
