Property fire

Crews from Newton Abbot and Torquay were mobilised to a motorhome fire. Once in attendance crews confirmed the fire had spread and requested a further four fire engines and a water bowser to assist. 

15:11 Update - Two vehicles within unit measuring approximately 15 metres x 7 metres used as caravan conversion company and workshop involved in fire. The fire is primarily located in vehicles and external cladding. Fire crews making steady progress using four breathing apparatus, two attack jets, one hose reel jet and two thermal imaging cameras.

16:38 Final Details - Fire involving two camper vans severely damaged by fire outside of commercial building. Crews used six breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, one thermal imaging camera, 1 jet, 1 water wall and hydraulic spreaders. LPG gas cylinders involved in fire cooled and checked using thermal imaging camera. Fire believed to be accidental in origin.
