Fire control mobilised on-call crew from Bampton to a report of a chimney fire in the Upton area, near Dulverton.
Shortly after being in attendance they confirmed that smoke was issuing from the roof space around the chimney and requested a second fire engine - this was mobilised from Tiverton.
Crew successfully extinguished the fire using 2 hose reel jet, 2x thermal image camera, 2x gas monitor, chimney rods, chimney rose and a 135 ladder.
