Fire control received calls to an electric bike on fire in Waterloo close.
1 fire engine from Greenbank was mobilised.
On arrival crews confirmed the electric bike was well alight and the property the bike was removed from was heavily smoke logged and confirmed there were people still inside. They requested another fire engine, crews from Camels head were mobilised.
Crews used 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet and 1 covering jet to extinguish. There were 3 casualties, 2 people were rescued from the property, suffering minor burns and smoke inhalation.
This incident has been left in the hands of the housing association.
