Property fire

Fire control received multiple calls to report a tractor on fire at the given location and mobilised 2 pumps alongside a water carrier.

On arrival the incident commander immediately requested the attendance of a further 2 pumping appliances as the fire had spread to a second tractor, as well as a barn full of hay.

Crews on scene got to work to fight the fire using hose reel jets, breathing apparatus and a main jet.

Crews made good progress to extinguish the fire and around 2 hours later confirmed the fire to be out.

Both the farm vehicles suffered 100 percent damage caused by fire, the barn suffered 10 percent damage by fire and 60 percent damage from smoke.

• 1 45mm Safety jet
• 1 Analytical risk assessment 
• 1 Water bowser 
• Small tools
• 1 Thermal imaging camera
• 1 Compressed air foaming system jet 
• 1 Hydraulic spreader 

The fire was believed to be caused accidentally.
