Fire Control received multiple calls to a boat fire at Starcross.
Fire engines were mobilised from Dawlish, Middlemoor, Exmouth & Newton Abbot along with the coastguard and lifeboat from Exmouth. On attendance crews confirmed the boat to be well alight.
Crews then requested the Environmental Protection Unit (EPU) to attend for additional booms. The EPU from Newton Abbot was then mobilised.
Urban Search and Rescue were also mobilised for the use of the drone and for boat capability.
Crews extinguished the fire using a light portable pump, 1 main jet and water safety equipment.
The fire was believed to be accidental.
