Road traffic collision

We received a call at 10.47am today reporting that a vehicle had collided with a portacabin at Torbay Hospital, Torquay and there were reports of people trapped. Four crews from Torquay and Paignton fire stations were dispatched.

On arrival the driver was already free and clear but two people were trapped under the car. Crews have lifted the vehicle and both casualties are now clear and being assessed by the ambulance service. Crews are still in attendance to assist partners and to ensure the scene is safe.

Crews have now returned to their stations and control of the scene has been handed over to Devon and Cornwall Police.
