Road traffic collision

2 fire appliances and an officer from Taunton were mobilised to Williton Road, Combe Florey, Bishops Lydeard following a request from Ambulance for our attendance to a 1 vehicle RTC, where it was believed the occupants of the vehicle were trapped. 

Upon our arrival it was confirmed that both Police and Ambulance were on scene and after liaising with them it was confirmed that, out of the 2 occupants/casualties in the vehicle, one female casualty was trapped. Crews set to work stabilising the vehicle before working alongside paramedics to extricate her, using hydraulic cutting equipment. Once released both casualties were left in the care of Ambulance crews whilst we made the vehicle and scene safe. The incident was brought under control at 2336hrs and the incident left in the hands of the Police.
