Property fire
Fire Control received multiple calls to an agricultural property in the Halberton area and immediately mobilised crews from Bampton, Middlemoor, Cullompton, Tiverton and the Aerial Ladder Platform from Taunton.
After booking on scene, crew confirmed that this is a large agricultural building containing straw and machinery with the building on fire and immediately got to work with 2x main jets, 1x light portable pump and a street hydrant.
At 23:05 - Crews are at work firefighting with 2x hose reel jets, 3x main jets. Taunton's Aerial Ladder Platform has been released from this incident.
At 00:07 - Crews are making steady progress using a high pressure hose reel. National Grid has made an attendance at incident and have isolated the on-site power supply.
At 01:29 - This incident has now been scaled down. 2x fire appliances are remaining in attendance.
At 02:00 - 2x fire appliance relief crews arrive on scene and are maintaining a watch at this incident. These crews are from Tiverton and Danes Castle
At 04:20 - Crew have remained on scene throughout the night maintaining a watch at this incident. Crews have confirmed that this incident is going to be scaled down to 1x fire appliance.
At 06:00 - Relief crew from Witheridge have arrived on scene. Steady progress is being maintained.
Unfortunately, this building consisting of straw and machinery was 100% damaged by fire. The incident has now been handed over to the owner of the property and the cause of the fire was accidental.
