Two crews from Torquay and Paignton were mobilised to reports of smoke issuing from a disused hotel on Barrington Road, Torquay.
Upon arrival they requested the assistance of a further two appliances and an Aerial Ladder Platform which attended from Torquay.
Crews are fighting the fire externally using the ALP.
Access on the A379 is temporarily affected and we would encourage members of the public to plan an alternative route.
