Fire - Building Other
Firefighters from Bridgwater and Burhham-On-Sea were mobilised following a call from a concerned member of the public reporting that they believed they could see a shed on fire in the distance.
On arrival crews confirmed that there was an outbuilding well alight, situated in the rear of the property making access difficult. To support crews in extinguishing the fire the Water Carrier from Bridgwater was requested to attend.
Two breathing apparatus were used by Firefighters to extinguish the fire along with a main jet. The electrics were also isolated to the neighbouring property.
Final details are as follows - One fire in an outbuilding measuring 6 x 10 metres of block brick, timber and a tin roof. There was 25% fire damage to the building, along with a partial collapse. The cause of the fire was recorded as accidental.
