Fire control received several calls to reports of a car fire in Plympton. Control mobilised one pumping appliance to deal with the fire. upon arrival crews confirmed one vehicle well alight on a public highway. Police were also made aware and attended. Police assisted with closing the road and diverting traffic away from the incident.
Crews used one hose reel jet with a fog spike attached, two breathing apparatus, one main jet and one thermal imaging camera to tackle the fire.
