Vehicle fire

Fire crews from Lynton and South Molton were mobilised to a gritter fire in the Simonsbath, Exmoor area this afternoon. The water bowser from Barnstaple was also mobilised, however it was stood down on route. 

Upon their attendance, fire crews confirmed there was a small fire involving the diesel filter on a gritting lorry. They used one hose reel jet, one thermal imaging camera and small tools to extinguish the fire and to prevent escalation.
