Fire control received a report of smoke issuing from a building in South Street, Axminster. Crews mobilised appliances from Charmouth, Colyton, Axminster and Lyme Regis and an aerial appliance from Taunton.
Upon arrival crews confirmed smoke was issuing from a 2-storey premises and was caused by a domestic washing machine on the ground floor. Crews used 6 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reels jets to extinguish the fire.
This was accidental.
