Property fire

Fire control received a call to a smoke filled room within a sports changing rooms attached to a retail premises in the Staddiscombe area of Plymstock.

Fire control mobilised 3 appliances from Greenbank and Camels Head as well as a supporting officer.

Once in attendance, crews confirmed a small fire and were using 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet and 1 thermal imaging camera to investigate and extinguish.

Final update - crews confirmed small fire within building which caused 10% smoke damage to the building. Crews used 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet, 1 thermal imaging camera and positive pressure ventilation fan. This fire was deemed to be deliberate and was left in the hands of responsible persons on scene.
