Property fire

Three Fire engines were sent to an industrial property, where there was a report of smoke seen in the roof area. On arrival crews confirmed that there was a fire within a laundry business on the 1st floor of this building and it was well alight. Further assistance was requested, so another two Fire engines (5 in total) was sent, as well as an Aerial Ladder Platform and Command Support Unit. Crews are currently at work with:

• 2 breathing apparatus
• 1 hose reel jet
• 1 main jet
• 3 thermal image cameras.

Final details ...

Fire in two storey industrial unit measuring 20m x 20m x 10m high.  Fire in first floor laundry and cleaning services.  First floor 100% damaged by heat and smoke.  Ground floor damaged by water only.  Two breathing apparatus, two main jets, one hose reel jet, 135 ladder, 105 ladder, thermal imaging cameras, lighting and positive pressure fans were used to extinguish the fire.  Hydraulic platform used for monitoring only.  The cause of the fire was accidental.
