Three Fire engines were sent to a report of a flat on fire in Chard. On arrival crews confirmed there was a fire within a ground floor flat, and not all occupants were accounted for.
The fire was extinguished using:
- 6 breathing apparatus
- 3 hose reel jets
- safety jet
- smoke clearance fan
- thermal image camera
No people were confirmed to have been in the flat. There was 25 per cent fire damage and 100 per cent smoke damage to the flat. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
