Fire control received a report of a two vehicle road traffic collision with one occupier still within the vehicle.
One fire appliance from Shepton Mallet and one fire appliance from Castle Cary was mobilised and upon arrival crews confirmed two vehicles were involved and one vehicle had left the highway.
Crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the side door from the vehicle and one casualty walked away and was assessed by ambulance crews.
