Fire Control mobilised 2 fire appliances from Dane's Castle and 1 from Middlemoor to a reported house fire.On arrival smoke was reported issuing from the first floor. Crew gained access and confirmed a bedroom fire.  Crew quickly confirmed all persons were accounted for. Firefighters wore 2 breathing apparatus and used 1 hose reel jet and a safety jet to extinguish the fire.  Positive pressure ventilation fans were used to remove smoke from the property and a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots.  Exeter City Council Building Control attended due to concerns with the structure of the building.  This is a building in multiple occupation and the council were asked to assist with welfare and temporary housing for the occupants. A specialist fire investigator attended and determined the fire was accidental caused by an electrical fault.
