Fire control received a call from a horse owner to say their horse was stuck in a water filled ditch.
Fire control mobilised one appliance, and officer and the technical rescue team trained for animal rescues while the owner contacted a vet.
Crews assessed the situation and made up for the telehandler from USAR to assist with the rescue, which was later stood down due to a local farmer assisting with a telehander.
The horse was successfully rescued, checked over by the vet and was left in the care of the owner who was uninjured.
