Fire Control received a call reporting a horse that was stuck in a pond in the West Anstey area. Crew from South Molton and the Animal Rescue Team from Barnstaple was immediately mobilised.

Shortly after booking in attendance, crew confirmed that the horse was stuck in the pond and got to work using rope and a telehandler. The horses' owner was also in attendance. Shortly after crews got to work, the horse managed to self-rescue itself, and the Animal Rescue Team was stood down.
