Property fire

We received multiple 999 calls to our control room to report a fire at the above location. On arrival of the first attending fire crews, they confirmed that a shed fire had spread to 2 nearby bungalows which were now well alight. They immediately sent a message for further assistance, making the total number of required fire appliances up to 5. Within 50 minutes, this request was then made up to 8 fire appliances which all attended from the above stations.

Update 15:38 - The incident ground is now sectorised and fire crews are working with the police to shelter and evacuate members of the public in a nearby caravan holiday park which is being affected by the smoke plume.

Update 17:34 - The incident is now scaling down and crews are turning over and dampening down hotspots of fire. The final amount of equipment used for this incident was:

• 12 breathing apparatus wearers
• 3 hose reel jets
• 2 attack jets
• 1 thermal imaging camera
• 1 drone team

Fire investigation is still underway to determine the cause of this incident.
