Fire control received several calls to a fire at a nearby farm. Further calls then indicated that this was a tractor on fire within a farm yard. The following crews were mobilising immediately.
On arrival of crews, they confirmed that a tractor was well alight and got to work with 2 breathing apparatus and a compressed foam jet to extinguish the fire. Crews also used a water relay between fire engines to get a water supply to the incident from a nearby hydrant.
The fire is now out and the cause was deemed to be accidental, caused by an electrical fault.
