Road traffic collision

2 fire appliances from Taunton were mobilised to Thurlbear Road, Orchard Portman, following a call from Ambulance requesting our assistance to a 2 car RTC, where one of the cars had rolled into the other, trapping the driver. On arrival crews confirmed one vehicle was on all 4 wheels and all the occupants were safely free and clear, with the 2nd vehicle on its side and one person trapped. They quickly got to work stabilising the vehicle before extricating the casualty, working alongside paramedics. Once released they were left in the hands of the paramedics being checked over. The incident was brought under control at 1926hrs and after crews made both the vehicles and scene safe, duty of care was left with Ambulance and Police.
