Road traffic collision

Two Fire engines and a heavy rescue vehicle, were all sent to a report of a 2 vehicle road collision on the A396 near Bolham. On arrival crews confirmed that this was a head on collision and one vehicle had left the carriageway into a ditch. The driver of the vehicle in the ditch was trapped and unable to get out. Crews released the person trapped using hydraulic cutting equipment and handed them over to the Ambulance crews. Police were also in attendance.
