Property fire

Multiple calls were received for a commercial unit on fire. Initial attendance was 3 appliances and the aerial ladder platform. Fire control mobilised an additional appliance due to the nature and content of the calls. On crews arrival, they requested a fifth appliance, and shortly after a further 3, taking the total to 8. 2 aerial ladder platforms were requested, 2 water bowsers, along with the incident command unit, welfare unit and the drone.

This is confirmed as a fire involving a commercial garage approximately 15m by 30m. All persons are accounted for. The incident is being sectorised with ground monitors and breathing apparatus in use. Crews are defensively fighting the fire due to cylinders in the building. All local residents in the Heathfield area have been advised to close windows and doors.

Update at 2000 hrs - This incident is now being scaled back to three fire engines. 

Final update at 23:57 hrs - In total, fire crews used three ground monitors, four breathing apparatus, one drone and two thermal imaging cameras to tackle the fire at this commercial garage. The incident has now been scaled back to one fire engine in attendance.
