Fire Control received a call to a report of smoke issuing from the windows and roof of a domestic property at Bicton Villas, Exmouth and mobilised 3 pumping appliances from Exmouth and Middlemoor, Exeter along with an Aerial Ladder Platform from Danes Castle, Exeter.

The fire was confirmed as being within a semi detached brick built private property measuring approximately 7 metres x 10 metres consisting of 2 floors. The fire was located in the kitchen of the second floor flat and caused 20% fire damage and 80% smoke damage. Fire crews used 6 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets, 1 safety jet, 2 positive pressure fans, 1 aerial ladder platform and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire and rescued 2 dogs from the property who were given oxygen therapy.
