Property fire

Fire Control mobilised crew from Newton Abbot and Torquay to a report of a shed that was on fire in the back garden of an address within Newton Abbot.

Once in attendance, crew confirmed a small fire in the shed that housed reptiles - crew managed to isolate the electricity supply to the shed ans got to work using 2x breathing apparatus and 1x hose reel jet. All reptiles remained in their enclosure was moved to a place of safety with guidance from their owner.

The location of the fire was in the corner of the shed and which measured approximately 3metres x 5 metres. The shed sustained 5% damage with smoke logging. Crew used small tools to cut away affected areas to prevent any further fire spread. 
The cause of the fire was accidental.
