Fire Control mobilised a crew from Hatherleigh to a report of a chimney fire in the area of Halwill Junction.
Upon arrival, crew shortly confirmed the chimney fire involving an open fire place and got to work using small tools and chimney gear. Crew made steady progress and also utilised a 105 ladder and safety working at height equipment.
The fire was extinguished and crews inspected the top of the chimney breast. The cause of the fire was accidental.
