Tanker spillage

We currently have 2 Fire Engines and an Environmental Protection Unit dealing with an over turned milk tanker on the A38 near Shipham, Somerset. Crews are currently trying to deal with milk spilling from the vehicle, using environmental equipment.

Update 15:45

Fire crews have now left the scene in hands of Police and Highways. This incident was a milk tanker that had turned over and spilt up to 1800 litres of milk. Crews used environmental equipment to try and plug the leak and prevent any milk entering the water courses.
