Fire control received multiple calls to a large heathland fire on Woodbury common.
We currently have 8 fire engines, 2 water carriers, 1 high volume pump, 1 all terrain vehicle and multiple officers in attendance
There is approximately 100m by 100m of heathland on fire
We ask the public to refrain from visiting Woodbury Common today and properties in the area to keep windows shut.

The fire has now been extinguished and the scene handed over to the owner of the estate.
