Vehicle fire

Fire control received a call from the owner of a car which was on fire outside a property in the area of Anchor Road, Coleford.

Control mobilised 1 fire engine from Shepton Mallet.

Once on scene, crews confirmed there had been a fire inside of a vehicle which has been extinguished by the occupant using a garden hose pipe. Crews monitored any hotspots with a thermal imaging camera and damped down the interior of the car with 1 hose reel jet.

This was believed to be deliberate ignition and crews left in incident in the hands of police.
