Property fire

Two appliances from Greenbank were mobilised following a report from a member of public stating their washing machine was on fire in the kitchen of their flat.

On arrival at the address crew investigated the property using breathing apparatus, a hose reel and a jet was laid out as a precaution.

Crew located a washing machine on fire within a four storey building, the fire was extinguished using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, one thermal image camera and a safety jet. The washing machine had ten percent damage due to the fire and was safely removed to open air by the fire crew.
