Fire Control received an emergency call reporting a lamb stuck down an embankment behind the railway station on Newton Road.
Fire Control mobilised the on duty crew (Green Watch) from Yeovil . After booking in attendance, crew liaised with staff on site and were able to locate the lamb approximately 10m up a small cliff face. Crew managed to get hold of the local shepherd who shortly got in attendance at this location.
An assistance message was received requesting the attendance of an Aerial Ladder Platform (ALP) from Yeovil alongside with a Animal Rescue Officer for further advice.
Crew successfully rescued the lamp using the ALP and small tools. The lamb was fit and well and returned back to the care of the shepherd.
