Fire control received a call from Police regarding a single vehicle Road Traffic Collision where the vehicle had landed on its roof.
Control immediately mobilised 2 fire engines from Torrington and Hatherleigh and 1 fire officer. 1 fire engine was also mobilised from Barnstaple for stabilisation equipment.
Once in attendance, crews confirmed vehicle on its side blocking both lanes of road with 1 person still within the vehicle.
Within 30 minutes the fire crews had released the trapped person from the vehicle using small tools and handed over to ambulance.
