Property fire
Fire Control received multiple calls reporting a barn on fire at the above location. Upon arrival the crews confirmed the barn to be well alight with 100 bales of straw within. The Incident Commander made pumps 6 and water bowsers 2.
Crews have set up in multiple sectors to surround the fire and protect neighbouring properties with 1 ground monitor and 1 CAFS jet in use. The Incident Commander then made pumps 8 to stop the incident from escalating further. Multiple specialist vehicles are also on route at this time.

The incident has now been scaled back to 5 pumps with 5 relief crews now on scene. Crews are continuing to monitor and prevent the fire from spreading to other buildings in the surrounding area. Crews will continue to be on scene over night with more relief crews expected later on this morning.
03.45hrs....Incident scaled down to 3 pumps...............steady progress being made, Compressed air foam being used to protect surrounding properties to barn.
0800hrs.....Incident scaled down to 2 pumps...............Two compressed air foam jets currently in use, steady progress being made.
1445hrs.... Incident has now been handed over to the owner as a controlled burn, a revisit will be carried out by our fire crews later on this evening.
