Fire control received multiple calls to a van on fire on Southway drive, Plymouth.

2 fire engines and the environmental protection unit attended the incident alongside officer.

On arrival crews confirmed that the engine bay was fully alight but the butane cylinder in the back of the vehicle was not involved in fire. Crews immediately got to work with 2 breathing apparatus 1 hose to extinguish the fire and remove the butane cylinder from the vehicle to cool. Crews also worked to bund drains and used earth to prevent further fuel spillage.

This is believed to have been an accidental fire.
