Fire Control mobilised crew from Appledore and Bideford On-call and Barnstaple whole-time duty watch to reports of a domestic fire in the Atlantic Way area of Westward Ho!
Upon arrival, crew requested the assistance of Police for road traffic management and got to work with 4x breathing apparatus, 2x hose reel jets, 1x covering jet tackling the fire that was in the living room of the property. Fire Crew was also giving oxygen therapy to 2 pets of this address too.
Crew extinguished the fire using a total of 8x breathing apparatus, 3x thermal image cameras, 3x hose reel jets, 3x safety jets, 1x ceiling hook, small tools and positive pressure ventilation fan.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
