Property fire
Fire control received a call from the occupant of a property stating they'd just evacuated their property due to smoke and flames issuing from their kitchen.
Control mobilised 2 fire appliances from Tavistock and a supporting officer.
Once on scene crews confirmed fire within a ground flood kitchen. This incident was proving difficult due to the property having no vehicular access so crews were having to extend their hose reel jets.
Shortly after, crews requested a third appliance which was mobilised from Yelverton.
Update at 01:18 - crews were at work with 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets and 2 safety jets. Crews confirmed all gas and electric supplies were isolated and crews now confirmed the fire is now out.
Final update - Crews confirmed fire within ground floor kitchen of 2 storey 4 bed house. This fire caused 20% fire damage and 80% smoke damage. Crews used 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets, 2 safety jets, 2 gas monitors, 2 TICS and 1 PPV fan. At the time of the final update, fire investigation was taking place to determine the cause of the fire.
