We received a call into Fire Control to report a vehicle fire in Harbertonford at around 17:30pm.

Fire crews attended and confirmed that one car on a public highway was involved, with a small fire in the vehicle; caused by a build up from flooding debris from a recent storm. Efforts were made to remove the debris from the underneath of the vehicle at the roadside. The vehicle was then taken away from the roadside for further investigations which showed further areas of burning. All debris was removed and the fire was confirmed as out.

One hose reel jet, one fogspike, high pressure air bags, small tools, lighting and a thermal imaging camera was used by fire crews.
