Property fire

Three fire engines attended a domestic fire following a call to Control with the caller reporting a fire in the kitchen. Upon arrival the Incident Commander confirmed that there was a fire in the kitchen and that all persons were free and clear of the property. 

Throughout the incident crews used:

• Two breathing apparatus
• One hose reel jet
• One safety jet
• One positive pressure ventilation fan
• Small tools
• Casualty care equipment

The kitchen sustained 70% fire damage and 50% smoke damage. The cause is believed to be accidental. Two casualties were left in the hands of Ambulance personnel.
