Property fire

Fire crews from Teignmouth were mobilised to reports of a fire in the allotments at the rear of Kingsway.  Fire crews reported 3 large separate fires in allotments which were well alight. Crews got to work with 2 hose reel jets and requested an additional 2 fire appliances to attend which were mobilised from Dawlish and Torquay.  

05:06 - Crews confirmed 4 sheds within allotment well alight, one gas cylinder also confirmed in one of the sheds.  1 hosereel, 2 jets and small tools in use.  

05:33 - Crews confirmed 3 fires over 2 locations involving 4 sheds now under control - water relay in use for 1 location. Petrol cannisters and gas cylinders involved in fire but now under control and monitored.  2 hosereel jets, 2 main jets, 2 thermal image cameras and 1 hydrant in use.  Fire believed to be of doubtful origin - Police requested to attend.
