Fire control received reports smoke inside a property at Lakes Road, Brixham. Fire Control mobilised one fire appliance from Brixham and one from Paignton.

Upon arrival crews confirmed a fire on the ground floor kitchen, crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and one safety jet to extinguish the fire.

The cause of the fire was accidental involving rechargeable batteries left on charge. 

The incident is now closed.
