3 fire appliances from Braunton, Appledore and Tiverton were initially mobilised to a one vehicle RTC, nr Stone Cross at Gunn, following a request from the Police for our attendance after the vehicle involved left the roadway, coming to rest on its side and trapping the driver. Our crew from Tiverton were proceeding with specialist stabilisation equipment but were returned en route after the initial crew arrived on scene. 

The female casualty was assessed by fire service and Ambulance crews and once the vehicle was stabilised they were extricated through the rear of the car. The casualty was then left in the care of Ambulance paramedics whilst crews made the vehicle and scene safe. This incident is now complete and was brought under control at 1641hrs. Duty of care has been left with the Police, who are remaining on scene for safety purposes and to maintain a cordon.
