Property fire

Following a call to Control reporting a fire within a domestic property, Control mobilised three fire engines, and then promptly added a fourth when the original caller rang back to report that the fire had spread.

Upon arrival the Incident Commander requested a fifth fire engine be mobilised for Personnel and water, along with a water carrier for additional water.

Crews are currently using:

• Two main jets
• Two hose reel jets
• Four breathing apparatus
• One thermal image camera

to extinguish the fire and check for fire spread. The incident has been sectorised.

Final update - main building to property only 1% damaged by fire and 5% damaged by smoke. Annexe building 75% damaged by fire and smoke. Crews used a total of 

• Four main jets
• Two hose reel jets
• Four breathing apparatus
• Two thermal image cameras
• One triple extension ladder 
• One ceiling hook
• Small tools 

This fire was confirmed as accidental ignition.
